Session ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Session mobile application ("App") and related services available at join-session.com (collectively, the "Service").

• Name or username (if you provide it)
• Profile photo (optional)

• Approximate or precise location, if you enable it, to show nearby kitesurfing sessions.

d. Log Data

• IP address, device ID, and timestamps for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Operate and improve the App and Service.
• Enable you to create, join, and share kitesurfing sessions.
• Send you notifications and updates related to your sessions.
• Provide customer support and resolve technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information with:

• Service providers that help us operate the app (e.g., Supabase for backend hosting, OneSignal for notifications).
• Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase) to improve app performance.
• Law enforcement, if required by applicable law.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

5. Data Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database-level access controls (Supabase Row-Level Security) to protect your data.

6. Children's Privacy

Session is not directed to children under 16. If we learn that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.

• Withdraw consent for location or notifications at any time.

8. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own (e.g., in the EU or U.S.) via Supabase and related services, following GDPR and other applicable laws.

Terms of Service

Welcome to Session! By accessing or using our app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Session, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Session. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• Not post or share false, harmful, or offensive content.
• Not harass, bully, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Not post content that is obscene, discriminatory, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Not impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity.
• Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service.

Session has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Violations will result in immediate content removal and may lead to account suspension or permanent ban.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software in the Service are owned by Session or its licensors. You may not copy or use them without permission.

6. User Content

You retain rights to content you create (e.g., session posts, messages). By posting content, you grant Session a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute it within the app to other users.

7. Content Moderation and Reporting

Session is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all users. We moderate user-generated content and enforce our community standards as follows:

• Content filtering: Automated filters may block or remove content that violates these Terms.
• Reporting: Users can report objectionable content or abusive behaviour directly within the app. We review all reports within 24 hours.
• Blocking: Users can block other users at any time. Blocked users' content will be immediately removed from your feed. Blocking a user also notifies our team for review.
• Enforcement: If we determine that a user has posted objectionable content or engaged in abusive behaviour, we will remove the content and may suspend or permanently ban the offending account.

8. Disclaimers

Session is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about availability, accuracy, or performance. You use the app at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Session is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service.
• Any third-party interactions or events organised via the app.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms or for other valid reasons.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be handled by the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted at join-session.com/privacyandterms.
